മൃതസംസ്‌കാരത്തിലും കുഴിമാടത്തിലും ദളിതന് അയിത്തം. സഭയുടെ ആചാരപ്രകാരം സംസ്‌കരിച്ച മൃതദേഹം മാന്തിയെടുത്ത് ദൂരത്ത് പൊതു ശ്മശാനത്തിൽ കുഴിച്ചിട്ടു.
ഇടുക്കിജില്ലയിൽ കട്ടപ്പനക്കടുത്ത് കാഞ്ചിയാർ പേഴുംങ്കണ്ടത്താണ് മനുഷ്യമനസാക്ഷിയെ ഞെട്ടിച്ച സംഭവമുണ്ടായത്. പേഴുംങ്കണ്ടം സെന്റ് ജോസഫ് കത്തോലിക്കാ പള്ളിയുടെ സെമിത്തേരിയോട് ചേർന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു സെന്റ് സ്ഥലം ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ ഫെയ്ത്ത് മിനിസ്ട്രീസ് ദൈവസഭക്ക് സ്വന്തമായി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 25 കുടുംബങ്ങളുള്ള ഈ യൂണിറ്റിൽ ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും ദളിത് ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളാണ്. സഭാംഗവും ദളിതനുമായ കോഴിമല പാണത്തോട്ടിൽ തങ്കച്ചന്റെ മൃതദേഹം സഭാചാരപ്രകാരം വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച ഉച്ചക്ക് ഈ സ്ഥലത്ത് അടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. നിർദ്ദനനായ തങ്കച്ചന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന് സ്വന്തമായി 3 സെന്റ് ഭൂമി മാത്രമാണുള്ളത്. തങ്കച്ചനെ അടക്കിയ കുഴിക്ക് ആഴം പോരെന്നും ഇവിടം ജനവാസ കേന്ദ്രമാണെന്നും സെമിത്തേരിക്ക് ലൈസൻസില്ലന്നെുമൊക്കെയുള്ള കാരണങ്ങൾ നിരത്തി ഒരുകൂട്ടം ആളുകൾ രംഗത്തുവരികയും ഭരണകൂടത്തിന്റെ കൂടി ഒത്താശയോടെ വൻ പോലീസ് സന്നാഹത്തിൽ തങ്കച്ചന്റെ മൃതദേഹം മാന്തിയെടുത്ത് കിലോമീറ്ററുകൾ ദൂരെയുള്ള കട്ടപ്പന പഞ്ചായത്തുവക ശ്മശാനത്തിൽ കുഴിച്ചുമൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു. തങ്കച്ചന്റെ കുടുംബവും മറ്റു സഭാംഗങ്ങളും ഹൃദയം പൊട്ടി നിസ്സഹായരായി ഭയന്നു വിറച്ച് ഇതെല്ലാം നോക്കിനിൽക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു.
ഇവിടെ ഉയർന്നു വരുന്ന ചില ചോദ്യങ്ങളുണ്ട്. തങ്കച്ചനെ അടക്കിയതിന്റെ ഏതാനും അടി മാറി ഇടുക്കി രൂപതയിൽപെട്ട പേഴുംങ്കണ്ടം സെൻ്‌റ് ജോസഫ് കത്തോലിക്കാ പള്ളിയുടെ സെമിത്തേരിയിൽ ദളിതരല്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസികളെ അടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ സെമിത്തേരിക്ക് ലൈസൻസ് ഉണ്ടോയെന്നും തട്ടുപാറക്ക് മേൽഭാഗത്ത് കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഇവിടെ അടക്കുന്ന മൃതശരിരങ്ങളുടെ അവിഷിപ്തങ്ങൾ തട്ടുപാറക്കു മുകളിലൂടെ ഒഴുകിയിറങ്ങി താഴ്‌വാരങ്ങളിലെ കുടിവെള്ള സ്രോതസ്സുകളിൽ എത്തുന്നുണ്ടോയെന്നും ആരും പരിശോധിക്കാത്തതും പരിസരവാസികൾക്ക് പരാതിയില്ലാത്തതും എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണെന്ന് പരിശോധിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതല്ലേ. അടക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മൃതശരീരം പുറത്തെടുക്കുന്നതിനാവശ്യമായ നിയമപരമായ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ തങ്കച്ചന്റെ കേസ്സിൽ പാലിക്കപ്പെടാതെ പോയത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ്. അടക്കിയ കുഴിക്ക് എട്ടടിയോളം താഴ്ചയുണ്ടെന്ന് സഭ പറയുമ്പോൾ ആഴം കുറവാണെങ്കിൽ ആഴം കൂട്ടിമറവുചെയ്യുന്നതിനു പകരം ബോഡിയെടുത്ത് വിദൂരതയിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയത് എന്തിന്. കത്തോലിക്കാ പള്ളികളുടെ കല്ലറകളുടെ ആഴം ഇതിൽ കൂടുതലില്ലാത്തത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ്. കട്ടപ്പന സി.എസ്സ്. ഐ പള്ളിയുടെ സെമിത്തേരി ടൗണിനു നടുവിലാണ്. സെന്റ് ജോർജ്ജ് കത്തോലിക്കാപള്ളിയുടെ സെമിത്തേരി ജനവാസകേന്ദ്രത്തിനിടയിലാണ്. തൊടുപുഴ ന്യൂമാൻ കോളേജിനുള്ളിലെ പുതിയ പള്ളിയും സെമിത്തേരിയും കാണുക. എന്തിന് ,കേരളത്തിന്റെ ഒരറ്റം മുതൽ അങ്ങേയറ്റം വരെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ പ്രമുഖമായ ക്രിസ്തീയ സഭകളുടെ സെമിത്തേരികൾക്ക് ഭൂരിഭാഗവുംആവശ്യമായ അംഗീകാരങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലെന്നും ജനവാസകേന്ദ്രത്തിന് നടുവിലോ സമീവത്തോ ആണെന്നുംകാണാം .എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഭരണകൂടം ഇവയുടെ മേൽ നടപടികൾ സ്വികരിക്കാത്തത് .
ഇവിടെ ഒരേകാര്യത്തിന് രണ്ടുനീതിയല്ലേ ദളിതനും പാവപ്പെട്ടവനും . .ഇന്ത്യ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം നേടി ഇത്രയും വർഷങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും ദളിതരോടുള്ള നമ്മുടെ അയിത്തം അവസാനിക്കാത്തത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ്. കാലം ചെല്ലും തോറും അവരോടുള്ള കിരാതമായ കടന്നുകയറ്റം കൂടികൂടിവരികയല്ലേ. ദളിതർക്കും പാവപ്പെട്ടവർക്കുമായി സുന്ദരമായ നിയമങ്ങൾ ഭരണഘടനയിലും നാട്ടിലും ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ഇതെല്ലാം മേലാളന്മാർക്ക് ഓശാനപാടിനിൽക്കുന്നു. തങ്കച്ചന്റെ മൃതശരിരത്തോടും കുടുംബത്തോടും കാട്ടിയത് കാട്ടുനീതിയല്ലേ, മനുഷ്യാവകാശ ലംഘനമല്ലേ .എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് ദളിത് പീഡനത്തിന്റെ പേരിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവകുപ്പുകളും സർക്കാരും നിയമാനുസ്രുത നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കാത്തത്. കത്തോലിക്കരുടെ മൃതശരീരങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏഴരുകിൽ പോലും ദളിതരുടെ മൃതശരിരങ്ങൾ കിടക്കരുതെന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ പിന്നിലെന്താണ്.മരണത്തിലും അയിത്തം നിലനിൽക്കുമോ.
കത്തോലിക്കാ സെമിത്തേരിയോടു ചേർന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന മേൽപറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലം ഇടവക്കാരനായ പ്ലാത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ ജെയിംസിന്റെ കൈയ്യിൽ നിന്നും വളരെ ചെറിയ വിലക്ക് തട്ടിയെടുക്കുവാൻ അച്ചൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്നു വെന്നും ന്യായവില കിട്ടിയാൽ ഈ സ്ഥലംകൂടി പള്ളിക്കു നൽകുവാൻ ജെയിംസ് ഒരുക്കമായിരുന്നു എന്നും കേൾക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഈസ്ഥലം കൂടിവാങ്ങി കത്തോലിക്കാ പള്ളിസെമിത്തേരിയുടെ വിസ്ത്രിതി കൂട്ടുകയും ഇവിടെത്തന്നെ മൃതശരിരങ്ങൾ അടക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഈ പ്രതിക്ഷേധക്കാർ കാണുമായിരുന്നുവോ.
ഇവിടെയാണ് ഇരട്ട നീതി നടപ്പാകുന്നത്. ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ സാമൂഹിക, രാഷ്ട്രീയ, മത, സംഘടനാ പ്രവർത്തകരും മനുഷ്യാവകാശ പ്രവർത്തകരും ദളിത് സംഘടനകളും പന്തക്കോസ്തു വിഭാഗങ്ങളും മൗനം പാലിക്കുന്നത് ദുഖകരമാണ്.ഓപ്പൺ ചർച്ച് മൂവ്‌മെന്റെന്ന ഒരു സംഘടന മാത്രമാണ് പ്രതിക്ഷേധിച്ചുകണ്ടത്. ദളിതർക്കും പിന്നോക്ക വിഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കും നീതിലഭിക്കണം. ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ മൗനം വെടിഞ്ഞ് രാജ്യത്തെ വ്യവസ്ഥാപിത മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിലൂടെ നിയമത്തിനുവിധേയമായ വിധത്തിൽ സമാധാനപരമായ രീതിയിൽ സമരങ്ങളും പ്രതിക്ഷേധങ്ങളും ഉയർന്നു വരേണ്ടത് കാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യമാണ്. പവിത്രമായ നമ്മുടെ ഭരണഘടനക്കും ജനാധിപത്യത്തിനും ഇത് ആവശ്യമാണ്. തങ്കച്ചന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കുറ്റക്കാർക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നടപടിയുണ്ടാവണം. ഗൂഡാലോചന പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരണം. ഓരോ പൗരനും സാമൂഹിക നീതിയും സമത്വവും സംരക്ഷണവും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുവാൻ സർക്കാരിനു കടമയുണ്ട്.

"ഒരുവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിലായാൽ അവൻ പുതിയ സൃഷ്ടിയായി" എന്ന തിരുവചനം ബൈബിളിൽനിന്നും നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്ന നിക്രിഷ്ട കർമ്മമാണ്‌ ദളിതരെ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിയാക്കിയിട്ടു, അവനെ "ദളിതക്രിസ്ത്യാനി "എന്ന് വിളിച്ചു അപമാനിക്കുന്നത്! അവനു മരണാനന്തരം പള്ളിപ്പറമ്പിലും തലചായ്ക്കാൻ ഇടംകൊടുക്കാത്തതു അവനിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കൂടി അപമാനിക്കലല്ലേ? ദളിതൻ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിയായതിനു ശേഷവും ദളിതനെങ്കിൽ,അവനിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ക്രിസ്തുവും അപ്പോൾ ദളിതനാകുമല്ലോ ? ആ പാവം യേശു ആശാരിയല്ലായിരുന്നോ?

Show respect for widows who really are all alone. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, they should learn first to carry out their religious duties toward their own family and in this way repay their parents and grandparents, because that is what pleases God. But a widow who gives herself to pleasure has already died, even though she lives. Give them these instructions, so that no one will find fault with them. Though this incident can be considered as an act against humanity, it has no link with Dalit. Even if a non Dalit buried there, it might be happened. Please don't promote such news to get publicity to your faith ministry..

Birth based caste system is a cancer that affected the noble 'religion' that was called Sanathana Dharma in ancient India. There was no birth based discrimination in that religion. Only divisions based on profession which was so easy to corrupt by the elite (Brahmins and Kshatriyas) . They corrupted it so badly and enslaved the working class by grabbing lands from the farmers and laborer.. Brahmins were not supposed to be landlords .But all lands were taken over by Brahmins and rulers. Brahmins were not supposed to be kings and warriors but 185 years before Christ pusyamitra a Brahmin killed the Mourya Buddhist King and started the destruction of India . Buddhist literature and Ashoka's Sthupas were destroyed, Buddhist monks were killed, scriptures were re written ( like Manu smithi) .Corrupted Sanathana dharma is now called Hindu religion which is infested with the dirtiest form of human slavery practiced for over 2000 years.
ReplyDeleteThe caste system , as may be seen in the YouTube videos, have spread to Christian Sikh, and Muslim too. The Syrian Christians of Kerala, who claim to be decentants of high caste Hindus have been practicing caste system all along and even today.They take pride in proving that their great grand fathers were nampoothiries. They have no pride in saying that they are followers of Jesus Christ who denounced discrimination and showed example by going to a Samaritan lady asking for water. Christian religion itself is corrupted version of jesus' teaching. The corruption started when the Roman emperor claimed that he is a follower of Jesus and made Christianity a royal religion.
So just as you should not expect the "upper caste" dominated ( or backbench driven by upper caste) "Hindu" religion and rulers, do not ever expect "the modern pharies" of Syrian Christians to treat Dalits as equals.
While the condition of Dalits in Kerala is far better, a real change in the condition is possible only by those believing in true equality demand it and work for it. We should do more than creating a sensational news, hue and cry when isolated incidents happen.For example, there are so many wells in India from which Dalits are not allowed to take water. Organize and go in procession to the wells as United Indians not as different caste. There are so many temples where Dalits are not allowed to enter. There are many Christian churches where a priest from Dalit community is un welcome as their vicar. Point them out. Organize and struggle to change the situation. This should not be a Dalit movement but every Indian who believes in equality should become part of it.
Blaming any one is not going to help. Caste system is the single biggest accident that happened to india's culture. What help is it if a person whose bornes are broken in an accident and his friends are blamed for driving amuck instead of treating him.? Let historians and social scientist research what happened in the past in order to prevent similar hazards in future. But as Indians we should concentrate on eradicating the wounds of the past and start a new era.
Unfortunately in India those who have inflicted this injury of caste system to india's soul, are trying to cheat the public, rewrite history, and engaging in fighting others. They use caste and religion as a means to get more votes for coming to power by enflaming emotions. Get power by deception is their goal.
