CCV editor Kottoor reacts to Padanamakkal

My heart-felt congrats to Jose Padanamakal, for the extremely comprehensive report on Franco Mulakkal, now in Pala Jail for alleged criminal accusation of raping a Nun under his protection. 

 You are doing an unparalled service of enlightening millions trapped in the dark cover-up of silence and cover-ups indulged indulged in by the Pastors in the Catholic church who turned out to become wolves in sheep’s clothing to fatten themselves with the fat of their sheep. 

The only way to enlighten simple believers is through articles like yours which will never come in Church publications but only in independent websites like Almayasabdam and CCV. So continue to convice readers(ignorant) about the urgency of jumping out of the sinking Titanic --  call it Bark of Peter, divided churches or organized religions – and follow the divine light in all of us in the form of “Sathyagraha and Snehagraha” (passionate search for Truth and Love) in built in every human mind and heart as Jesus told the woman at Jacob’s well: “Time has come to worship God, not in this mountain or that, but in the cave of one’s heart in SPIRIT and TRUTH. 

Today the whole discussion is about following Mother Church and its authorities which is different for different people and different God men with different titles to suit their needs. 

The ONE PERSON these people  and all of us have to follow is the Carpenter of Narareth who never became even a Christian, but was born Jew, lived Jew and died a Jew.  Think of INRI placed on his cross. Christ or anointed was given by those who wanted to see him the anointed of God and even that many years after his death. Original Kerala Christians were called “MARGAM KUDIYVAR” those who followed the path of Jesus who alone is no where in all present discussions. 

He is not discussed in all controversies raging today. So we  have to bury a lot of out  blind beliefs and practices first.  There is a long list of outdated blind belifs or stupidities to be thrown from the ship we are travelling in. 

Litany of Must-goes 

As far long as fifty years ago I had suggested to stop calling a mere human “Your Holiness” which must go, being ‘blasphamy‘ par excellence; all ascending and descending offices must go, being Caste system at its worst and racism; all honorific appellations from Rev. to Your Eminence must go, being diametrically opposite ofJesus’ teachings, all humans equals as brothers and sisters only; all competing organized churches proliferating as “Churchianities” (is Christ divided?) must go, being the opposite of unity, universality and self-emptying of Jesus; all business of church building from village chapels to eye-catching posh  cathedrals in  brick and mortar  as concrete wonders in city centers to world capitals for God of all creation who needs no rented house to reside here on earth except the minds and hearts of humans as “Sathyagrha and Snehagraha” (passionate craving for Truth in too many closed minds  and love in closed hearts), all  of which must go! There are many more which I don’t list here.  

I tried to post this as my reaction to your inforfmative and educative article but could not succeed.  So sending to you, to kindly post  in the Almayasabdam for all to think over and act constructively. Post script: Personally I consider Mulakkal espisode as an heaven sent BLESSING IN DISGUISE, a wake up call to all blind believers in Kerala. Jesus the hound of heaven has dropped a bomb, like the Kerala Floods. God, if there is one, he is the one who WRITIES STRAIGHT WITH CROOKED LINES, like you and me and Franco Mulakkal. So wake up and rejoice and even thank Mulakkal for giving us sleepless nights to reflect and WAKE UP before we are drowned or instead of getting outselves drowned! 

The HERO in those whole episode is the raped NUN  (think of the woman at the Jacob’s well who had 6 husbands, the woman caught in adultery and Mary who anointed Jesus feet with ointments all of whom Jusus used to teach unforgettable lessons 

If the Catholic church in Kerala and India has any name, fame and glory to boast of it is all due to the self-emptying slavish day to nigh work done by the  battalion of Kerala Nuns following the footsteps of Mother Theresa.  They all should be honered with Nobal prices – ALL FIVE OF THEM -- for their SIT IN STRIKE! The “Hypocritical Episcopal High Priestly Class” instead  should be showered with every sentence of WOES Jesus utters in  Mathew Chapter 23, starting with: “You Hypocrites, white washed sepulchers, brood  of vipers” etc. Thank God who writes straight with crooked lines. All honor and glory to God alone! jk
