Organic Spirituality
These are days of organic agriculture. Around the world, people are becoming more and more aware of the validity and importance of organic food, which is found to be more wholesome and compatible to our physiology. Besides, they are pesticide free and also promote better health and immunity. Since they are easily digested, more nutrients can be absorbed from less quantity of food.
Organic agriculture means cultivating preferably our own land using the fertility available in the land itself or by using natural organic fertilizers like cow dung, cow urine etc. It also seeks to strengthen the bacterial culture in the soil. Moreover, it entails that no chemical pesticides are used. It also utilizes seeds of the same soil and climatic conditions, which means better adaptability and immunity. The organically grown product is found to be more resistant to pests and the vagaries of weather.
As far as the farmer is concerned, the fertile land is his wife. Naturally he has the full rights to exploit the land utilizing his own seeds. Pitiable is the condition of a farmer who has to depend on the seeds supplied by an outside agency on whatever pretext it may be. The more he depends on outside agencies, the weaker he becomes.
It is also seen that when chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used, the land is rendered barren in due course of time. On the other hand organic agriculture steadily improves the health and fertility of the soil.
Now let us come to organic spirituality. Each of us has a highly potent and fertile subconscious mind at our command which can be compared to our female counterpart. Our subconscious mind always seeks to redeem itself by being productive naturally. For this we only need to plant the potent seed of goodness or our legitimate dreams or desires in it. Yoga, Pranayama and NaturO Meditation are organic fertilizers and catalytic agents that help materialize our goals more efficiently. What we sow is what we reap.
What water is for soil is what prana is for the mind. In organic spirituality, yoga helps to clear blockages in the system that consumes prana. It also enhances the flow of prana equitably in the entire system. Pranayama pumps extra prana into the system and helps to get better yield. NaturO Meditation optimizes the use of prana and also leads to a creative and very valuable presence. Organic agriculture is all about using the water resources to good effect and regulating its use. Organic spirituality is all about feeding the mind with prana from all naturally available resources such as good climate and pure air with an abundance of prana, fresh organic vegetables taken raw or not over cooked, sprouted seeds and of course Pranayama.
Each human being is free and independent to organize by himself and within himself a silent organic spiritual revolution. Apart from the natural resources that are at his command and available as per need, his active presence plays a major role. This is true for organic agriculture as well as organic spirituality. Here it is needless to say that all external influences like blind beliefs, rites, rituals, prayers, dogmas and doctrines are all detrimental to his genuine interest. In matters of mind we are indeed self sufficient. Beware of anyone who wants to enslave you and rob you of all your rich heritage. Remember as son of God we have a legitimate right to the Kingdom of God. If we sow the seed of the Kingdom of God in our subconscious mind, Kingdom of God indeed, shall be what we reap and that too naturally and effortlessly.
Organic spirituality can be better understood with the help of a metaphor or analogy. Ten points that connect organic agriculture and organic spirituality are given below. It is clear that organic agriculture is most essential and suitable to maintain our health through good food. It simply means going back to the most natural way of agriculture.

The ten points in this metaphor constitute a perfect cycle. We start with the seed. Good quality, potent seeds are vital to the interests of a farmer. So too a profound dream preferably of Self Realization in this life time is essential for any sincere and true spiritual aspirant. A fertile soil is essential for organic farming. Fortunately for a spiritual aspirant, an abundantly fertile subconscious mind is available at his command. As already seen, ploughing the soil means regular yogasana practice, water means prana and augmentation of water means Pranayama. These are physical practices that lead to a spiritual reality and possibility. Next is the sun which is correlated with the assured presence of God. No farmer prays to sun for sunlight. He knows that it is available equitably to everyone without any sectarian or partisan considerations. It is available to believers and non-believers equally. Similarly, one should know and fully realize that God is an assured universal presence. He will keep playing His role to perfection.
The fertility of the soil is correlated with the negativities in the subconscious mind. Just as the seed uses the fertility of the soil to grow and give a good yield, the profound dream and other subordinate dreams consume all the negativities of the mind. It is now clear that the negativities of the mind are an asset provided our attitude to them is right. Our subconscious mind is indeed a fertile field of all possibilities. Fighting negativities will only strengthen them and is a futile exercise. We have an opportunity to create a beautiful future by using them creatively.
Sowing is correlated with self impregnation which has already been explained in detail. After sowing the seeds, the farmer does not go away and idle. He is ever present and ever vigilant, though fully detached from the activities in the field. Similarly, NaturO meditation helps us to achieve a state of detached presence thereby freeing the subconscious mind to yield completely to our dream. Thus we simply have to reap the rich harvest that is Self Realization. In the process, we would have of course realized all our subordinate goals. Thus life on earth is indeed beautiful.[TOM  MATHEW , MUTTAMBALAM ]
