the famous French classic THE LITTLE PRINCE in the light of depth psychology. As Neduncanal opines, his writing is dense and demands a real intellectual effort. His book on priest(s)hood
titled DER KLERIKER/THE CLERGY, has been qualified as "monumental"(900 pages).His approach is radical and in-depth; so no wonder the church cannot easily accept his views; result: he has been divested of his teaching post( prof. of theology) and later on of some of
his priestly functions! His book on ecology and
progress "THE DEADLY PROGRESS"/DER TODLISCHE
FORTSCHRITT looks at the destruction of nature and man in the light of christian heritage. Very
interesting, like all his books. By the way he is not the only scholar/thinker who has been the
victim of Vatican's doctrinal ire: remember the
famous photo in which we see John-Paul 11 reprimanding the Nicaraguan poet-priest Ernesto
Cardenale who was the minister for culture at the time in Nicaragua. Pope JP-11 with cardinal
Ratzinger (later Benedict -XVI) literally censured many free thinking catholic intellectuals all over the world! Our own Antony
Desouza SJ. The passion and persistence with which the church follows her "satrusamhaaram" is
equalled only with McCarthy's hunt for communists, Stalin's iron orders against all dissidents, findamentalist islamists' fatwa against free thinking muslims. Curiously, one
free thinking catholic scholar/theologians who
could remain immune to Curia's condemnations was
our own Raymond PANIKKER. But then the story and
the history of the church is repleat with such
purges and eliminations! Why? Perhaps she thinks
(and millions of believers with her) she is the
only true repository of salvation. Is it because
we are relentlessly taught that we are a "chosen
lot"? Indeed Drevermann, thanks to him, tries to
elucidate such questions in his books.!!!!!

Almayasabdam would welcome that you publish now and then an article on church affairs, at least those happening in Europe, as you are located in Paris. May I request the Administrator to give to Mr Inasu the status of a contributor. There are so many who have this status but never bother to write a line. The reader all over the world must be getting bored reading the same authors month after month.
