തൃശൂര്‍: തൃശൂരില്‍ ഒമ്പതുകാരിയെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ച സെന്റ്‌ പോള്‍സ്‌ പള്ളി വികാരി രാജു കോക്കനെതിരെ അന്വേഷണ സംഘം ലൂക്കൗട്ട്‌ നോട്ടീസ്‌ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങുന്നു. വിദേശത്ത്‌ ധാരാളം സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുള്ള വൈദികന്‍ രാജ്യത്തിന്‌ പുറത്തേക്ക്‌ കടക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യത പരിഗണിച്ചാണ്‌ പോലീസിന്റെ പുതിയ നീക്കം.
വ്യാഴാഴ്‌ച്ചയാണ്‌ വൈദികനെതിരെ പോലീസ്‌ കേസള രജിസ്‌റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്‌തത്‌. ഇയാളെ അറസ്‌റ്റു ചെയ്യാനായി പോലീസ്‌ തൈക്കാട്ടുശ്ശേരി പള്ളിയിലെത്തിയപ്പോഴേക്കും ഫാദര്‍ രാജു കോക്കന്‍ ഒളിവില്‍ പോയിരുന്നു. ആദ്യ കുര്‍ബാനയ്‌ക്ക് പുതുവസ്‌ത്രം നല്‍കാമെന്നു പ്രലോഭിപ്പിച്ചാണ്‌ വൈദികന്‍ പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയെ പലതവണ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചത്‌.
ഫാദര്‍ രാജുവിനായി പോലീസ്‌ തെരച്ചില്‍ തുടരുകയാണ്‌. ഇന്നലെ വൈദികന്റെ കുടുംബവീട്ടിലും ബന്ധു വീടുകളിലും തെരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തി. വൈദികന്‍ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ആലുവ സെമിനാരിയിലും പോലീസ്‌ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തി. ഇയാള്‍ ഇവിടെ എത്തിയിരുന്നതായി പോലീസിന്‌ വിവരം ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌.
അതേസമയം ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി തൈക്കാട്ടുശ്ശേരി സെന്റ്‌ പോള്‍സ്‌ പള്ളിയ്‌ക്ക് നേരെ കല്ലേറുണ്ടായി. കല്ലേറില്‍ പള്ളിക്കു മുന്നിലെ രൂപക്കുടിന്റെ ചില്ലുകള്‍ തകര്‍ന്നു.

These people must be severely punished, more so, as they are misusing
their position and trust entrusted upon them! I think the
problem arises when these ordained men can not remain celibate as
their 'Order' demands, which can happen in any religious sector! If
the priests cannot honour their 'Holy vow of sexual
abstinence', they should come out! Only the dedicated ones
should become priests, or when they join as Deacons (Ranking below
that of a Priest), there must be a period of few years during which
time they can decide if they have the dedication to continue, and if
not, they should come out and seek other jobs! In certain
denominations, married men are allowed to become Priests and
Bishops, while in some, married Priests can only reach up to a
certain level, below that of a 'Thirumeni'(Bishop), and there are
denominations where marriage is not allowed! Marriage among the
clergy was permitted in the Biblical times and till the 5th-6th
century -- even some of the Apostles were married, just as our Sages
and even Gods, as 'Marriage' is sacred! we have married Bishops who
do a wonderful job for the community. I feel that the rules must
change so that they are all given the choice to marry or not,
which would put a stop to this and thereby, protect our women
and children!

Unbelievable, sad and shameful that protectors become predators in this civilization of Enlightenment, awareness, and Info technology.Yet we are to blame for not whipping up enough rage to move our slow pillars of the state to execute their duties to the populace ,esp the innocent, helpless, voiceless. How many rapists have been punished or reformed as of now? How many schools have taken seriously the task of sex education to sensitize innocent children about the dangers around and the mode of keeping safe. Hence we continue to encourage heinous crimes against mankind. Change.org should take up this issue so that homo sapiens dont go beserk.
