കേരളകത്തോലിക്കസഭയിലെ മെത്രാന്മാർ വിശ്വാസികളെ അംഗീകരിക്കാതെ സേച്ഛാധിപത്യ ഭരണം നടത്തുന്നവരാണ്. വിശ്വാസികളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്വം ഇല്ലാതെ മെത്രാന്‍ സീനഡിന്റെ തീരുമാനങ്ങള്‍ എങ്ങനെയാണ് സഭാതീരുമാനങ്ങളാകുന്നത്?
വിശ്വാസികളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്വം ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തികൊണ്ട്‌ സഭാഭരണം നടത്തണമെന്നാണ് വത്തിക്കാന്‍ ഭരണാധികാരി ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചാവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു പറയുന്നത്. സഭാധികാരികള്‍ അത് ശ്രവിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇവിടെയാണ് സംഘര്‍ഷത്തിന്റെ മൂല കാരണങ്ങൾ . വൈകിയ വേളയിലെങ്കിലും സഭാനവീകരണം ആരംഭിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള നിത്യസംഭവങ്ങളാണ് നമുക്കു കാണാന്‍ കഴിയുക. സഭാനവീകരണം കാലത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യമാണ്.

കൊല്ലം ബിഷപ്പ്‌ ഹൗസിലേയ്‌ക്ക് നടത്തിയ മാര്‍ച്ച്‌ അക്രമാസക്‌തം;

കൊല്ലം: കുരീപ്പുഴ ഇടവക വികാരിയെ സ്‌ഥലംമാറ്റരുതെന്ന്‌ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട്‌ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ കൊല്ലം ബിഷപ്പ്‌ ഹൗസിലേയ്‌ക്ക് നടത്തിയ മാര്‍ച്ചില്‍ സംഘര്‍ഷം. ബിഷപ്‌ ഹൗസിന്‌ മുന്നിലേയ്‌ക്ക് വിശ്വാസികള്‍ നടത്തിയ മാര്‍ച്ച്‌ അക്രമാസക്‌തമായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ പോലീസ്‌ ലാത്തി വീശിയതോടെയാണ്‌ സംഘര്‍ഷം ശക്‌തമായത്‌.
അതേസമയം, സമരക്കാരായ വിശ്വാസികളുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും കല്ലേറുണ്ടായതാണ്‌ ലാത്തി വീശാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചതെന്നാണ്‌ പോലീസ്‌ നല്‍കുന്ന വിശദീകരണം. സമരം അക്രമാസക്‌തമായതോടെ പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരെ പിരിച്ചുവിടാനായാണ്‌ ലാത്തി വീശിയത്‌.
പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും പോലീസിനുനേരെയും ശക്‌തമായ കല്ലേറുണ്ടായി. ഇതേതുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരെ തുരത്താന്‍ പോലീസ്‌ കണ്ണീര്‍ വാതകം പ്രയോഗിച്ചു. കല്ലേറിലും ലാത്തിച്ചാര്‍ജിലും നിരവധി പേര്‍ക്ക്‌ പരിക്കേറ്റു. പരുക്കേറ്റവരെ സമീപത്തെ ആശുപത്രികളില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. പലരുടേയും തലയ്‌ക്കാണ്‌ പരുക്കേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നത്‌. കല്ലേറില്‍ ഏതാനും വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കേടുപാടുകള്‍ സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ക്കും സംഘര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ പരുക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്‌.

Media merely propagates the story of the clergy. The truth of the matter is that. The media merely reports that the people of Kureepuzha parish are protesting against the transfer of the parish priest. However, the truth of the matter is different. Fr. Joseph Daniel is the current parish priest and who is being forcefully transferred. His only mistake was that he found out some financial irregularities by his predecessor. In his desperate move to cover up the matter, the bishop suddenly issued transfer to Fr. Joesph Daniel who merely completed 2.5 years, not the complete term of 3 years. The priest already earned the good will of the people through his exemplary life and spiritual activity. People are merely demanding for his continued presence until the new church construction is over. Bishop as usual is stubborn because he wants to exercise to his authority to punish the priest who found out the truth.
ReplyDeleteCanon Law. 384 "Bishop is to have a special concern for the priests, to whom he is to listen as his helpers and counsellors. He is todefend their rights and ensure that they fulfil the obligations proper to their state." The Kollam Bishop tortures priests who work for people and who point out financial irregularities. He forcefully transfers them even before their term gets over.
ReplyDeleteCanon Law. 386 §1 “The diocesan Bishop is bound to teach and illustrate to the faithful the truths of faith which are to be believed and applied to behaviour.” What we see in the diocese of Kollam is oppression and desperate use of power to suppress truth. The bishop doesn’t practice faith and Christian values.
Can. 387 “Mindful that he is bound to give an example of holiness, charity, humility and simplicity of life, the diocesanBishop is to seek in every way to promote the holiness of Christ's faithful according to the special vocation of each.” Forget about his charity, humility and simplicity of life. For that to happen, one needs to be human at heart first, should have a discerning mind, and above all should have ‘fear’ of God, and love for people. His priorities are money and power. He is bathed in greed and arrogance.
Can. 381
§2 “If he has faithful of a different rite in his diocese, he is to provide for their spiritual needs either by means of priests orparishes of the same rite, or by an episcopal Vicar.” Ha ha ha, the Kollam Bishop (I am ashamed to call him Bishop). He instigates people in the diocese against people from other catholic rites, disrespects priests from other rites who tirelessly and selflessly work for the diocese. Above all, he poisons the minds of people, talking about rites.
If the bishop has applied at least some of these points in his life, people won't protest against his decisions and they will respect his office. He failed and that's why people don't respect him. People are not crazy to go against a person in a respected office. If people raise voice collectively, there must be some valid reasons. The bishop needs to start introspecting instead of always "quoting his power given by the canon law."
Unfortunately our diocesan priests completely ignore these parts of the canon law. They seem to be knowing only those parts which rest power on their hands. Sad. Idiotic priests. Don’t know in which world they are living. They think they possess the truth of everything and people are ignorant.
