Going through the news item (reported by UCANews), one gets the feeling that the poor nun has been arrested on fabricated charges. Of course, that is only a feeling. The law should be allowed to take its own course. One - no matter who he/she is - should respect the law of the country. That is what you learn from Christ's teachings (Give unto Caesar .......).
But the unfortunate side is that such stories which might damage or tarnish the image (?) of the Church is never covered by our media. It is surprising that whenever an atrocity is committed outside Kerala against a Malayalee nun, a big fuss is made. But when similar things happen inside the state, there is an orchestrated silence and cover up.
Whenever possible, we try to bring news that mainstream media normally discard.
