I am excited to learn that a few right thinking Christians have joined hands and began a discussion forum to expose the exploitations in the Catholic Church. I am not sure if you are all closely watching the troubles and turmoil among the Syro-Malabar Catholics especially the Knanaya Catholics in USA. The problems faced now are a direct consequence of erecting a Syro-Malabar diocese here. The clergy who come here in the name of serving us have only one agenda - to make maximum amount of money in the shortest possible time.
Wherever we have Knanaya Catholic Parishes or Missions, the community is in deep divide. Even here they could recruit a few 'Jihadists' who are willing to go any length to facilitate the evil designs of these priests.
The priests who arrive here at our expense, bring with them and impose upon us all their egos, prejudices and irrational practices. In the name of the distinct 'Syro Malabar Rite", they curtail our religious choices and freedom. I request the Administrators of Almaya Sabdam to bring up this issue to the notice of the authorities of the US Embasassy and Consulates in India.
ഇടവകക്കാര്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടിയാല്‍ അത്യാഗ്രഹിയായ ആ പുരോഹിതനെ കെട്ടുകെട്ടിച്ചു നാടുകടത്തി കൊട്ടുരെന്ന വൈദിക കാമ ഭ്രാന്തനോടൊപ്പം വല്ല അരമനജോലിയിലേക്കും പറഞ്ഞുവിടാം. ആത്മാക്കളെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാന്‍ എല്ലാ കള്ളപുരോഹിതന്മാരും മേച്ചില്‍സ്ഥലങ്ങള്‍ തേടുന്നത് അമേരിക്കയിലാണ്. സാധാരണ ഇത്തരക്കാരെ ആരാധിക്കാന്‍ ചില സ്ത്രീജനങ്ങളും അവരുടെ വെറിയന്മാരായ ഭര്‍ത്താക്കന്മാരും കാണും. കോഴിയിറച്ചിയും കള്ളും നല്‍കി ഏതു ബോറനായ കത്തനാരെയും എന്നും സല്ക്കരിക്കുവാന്‍ ഇവിടുത്തെ സ്ത്രീജനങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്. കുടുംബത്തില്‍ അസ്ഥിരതയുണ്ടാക്കുകയാണ് പിന്നെ പള്ളിയച്ചന്‍റെ പ്രധാന ചുമതല. പാവം അച്ചനെന്നു ഭക്തരായ സ്ത്രീജനങ്ങള്‍ അവരുടെ നാമമാത്ര ഭര്‍ത്താക്കന്മാരെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. വാരികോരി സംഭാവനകളും സ്വന്തമായി കാറും വീടുമായി അങ്ങനെ കത്തനാരുടെ അമേരിക്കന്‍ജീവിതം പരമാനന്ദമായി. പണത്തിന്‍റെ വീതം പങ്കിടുമ്പോള്‍ നാട്ടിലെ കുന്നശേരിപോലുള്ള അഭിവന്ദ്യ തിരുമെനിമാര്‍ക്കും കുശലംതന്നെ.
ReplyDeleteക്നനായെന്ന പദം പോര്‍ട്ടുഗീസുകാരുടെ കാലത്ത് ചില കള്ളകത്തനാന്മാര്‍ ഇവിടുത്തെ ഒരു വിഭാഗം നാട്ടുക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള്‍ക്ക് നലകിയതാണ്. അല്ലാതെ ഇവരുടെ പൂര്‍വികര്‍ ക്നനായിവാസികളൊന്നും ആയിരുന്നില്ല. ഇവരുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള കൊട്ട്, കുരവ, ബിഷോപ്പുമാര്‍ മരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഇരുത്തിയടക്കുക, ചാരംകെട്ടുചടങ്ങുകള്‍, കുര്‍ബാനയുടെ സമയത്ത് വെളിച്ചപ്പാട് തുള്ളുന്നതുപോലെ കൂട്ട മണിയടി ഇതെല്ലാം ആദ്യകേരളത്തിലെ തനതായ ചടങ്ങുകള്‍ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇവടെയുള്ള നായന്മാരെയും മറ്റു ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളെപ്പോലെയും കാഴ്ച്ചയില്‍ കാണുന്ന, കറുപ്പിനോടു അടുത്ത നിറമുള്ള ഇവര്‍ ക്നാനായ്ദേശത്ത് നിന്നുള്ളവരാണെന്ന് ഒരു നരവംശശാസ്ത്രത്തിനും തെളിവുകള്‍ നല്‍കുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കുകയില്ല. പോര്‍ട്ടുഗീസുകാര്‍ ഇവിടുത്തെ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളെ വിഭാഗീയ ചിന്താഗതികളുണ്ടാക്കി ഭരിക്കുവാന്‍ മെനഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഒരു കെട്ടുകഥയാണ് ക്നനായ് ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളുടെ ഈ വംശകഥ. പോര്‍ട്ടുഗീസ്‌ഭാഷയില്‍ എഴുതിയ നാലാംനൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെതെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു അക്കാലത്തെ ഭാസ്കരവര്‍മ്മരാജാവിന്‍റെ ഒരു കള്ളചെപ്പേടിന്‍റെ പകര്‍പ്പും ഉണ്ട്. നാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടില്‍ യൂറോപ്യന്മാര്‍ ഇവിടെ വരുകയോ മലയാള ഭാഷയോ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
