It was with a wavering mind that we ‘the Kerala Catholic church Reformation Movement’-KCRM- people started the group-blog ‘almayasabdam’. But, from the very moment it got launched on the late night of 6th Nov.2011, we stand amazed to witness its ever increasing readership reflected by its soaring hit rate. Just 56 days, and it crossed 10000 hits! Yes, the blog itself became a HIT.
Another hit-point is that the blog has attracted more than 20 talented and courageous free thinkers as its official writers (Contributors) within such a short span of time. Altogether, it looks as if a great number of Malayali Catholics all around the world were awaiting such an online media as a forum to discuss the affairs of the Church.
It is heartening to learn that Malayalies from almost all the countries have become regular readers and contributors of this blog. Here,we would like to say that we owe you all too much for you have made this blog a success story. We, the KCRM, humbly salute all of you as well as the efficient and imaginative administrators of the blog for granting such a thrilling experience to us.
Now, with this successful experience we feel confident to start a printed magazine, as well. As very few people have internet connection here in Kerala, there is a need for printed media. And, as we have enough matter in the blog itself and could be used for the magazine. Of course, we know that the finance and distribution would be burdens. Yet, with the hope of getting required support from all of you, we dare to take the risk.
Let’s hope that we can go together still lofty heights in the line of renewing the society we live in.
