The following email was received in response to a mail Almaya Sabdam sent:

Almayar first need obedience and a readiness to follow Christ as St Padre Pio and St Jerard Majella did. If you are asked to be silent then obey that until death.
The second Christ St Francis obeyed the then pope by preaching the gospel to the pigs. That one obedience changed the mind of the pope.
So we all should pray for the help of the Holy Spirit to follow Christ as Jesus obeyed the Father until death.
If we see something wrong in the church we need to pray to the Lord to correct it since he himself is the head of the church. Whatever we do other than this will help only to cause pain in His body, which is church. It was the same thing Saul used to fo before his conversion. He used to put the Chistians into prison thinking he is doing the will of God.
Another thing we simple people should understand is that the great emperors in the history couldn't harm the church. Nothing will prevail against the church because the Jesus himself is leading her and he already have defeated the evil and the Lord of heaven and earth.
Please don't send any mail to this id anymore.
Lets pray for all of us to have the real wisdom, which is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Let the Lord heal the wounds in heart caused by our own brothers and sisters in the communion of Christ.

Our churches, the places of worshiping God has nowadays become more or less money making centres in the name of God. Those who steal this people's money and spend without transparency want to see that everyone should keep silent and obedient. From the nature of your writing, it seems dear Mr/Fr/Exc/Grace .J.A your are also one of them. Even Jesus acted promptly when he found the temple place was corrupt."So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables."(John 2:15 ).

With all respect to the priest who wrote this, I would like to note a few points. Churches in USA and EU are open for sale and rent now. Are we doomed to assume that it is also part of the divine protection? You agree that the same whip of obedience has been used in the case of St. Francis also. History says that many of his disciples were persecuted by the same Church later. You say that Jesus obeyed His father until death; you may kindly note that we are determined to be truthful to the same Father even beyond death. As you guess, our ultimate intention is not damage to the Church but just rejuvenation of the same. It is fine that you have agreed that there are black sheeps within the herd. According to you, we are supposed to obey all demons in priest's suits.
ReplyDeleteYour argument that great emperors tried and miserably failed to damage the Church is the greatest of jokes. Who among us can claim a natural death, in the event of all the predecessors died on bed? The fact is that if the Church was ever fair to man and God, Christ would have gained all the nations of the world. Our struggle for justice will continue just like that of the poor widow at the feet of the judge, begging for justice. Let us see, who wins the game at last - the suppressed or the power crazy. Let us see, with whom the Spirit will ever be.

The author of this letter has all the ingredients to be declared a Saint, above all for the concept he has of the stupid obedience to popes and bishops, which has ruined the Church and has given it the present shape.

DeleteY is this obedience not followed by the clerics? Y they are not following The Holy Bible? Y do they constitute laws themselves? Y do Christ himself attacked the merchants in the holy place? Is obedience a one sided affair? Are the Clerics rulers? Who told u that criticism was disobeying? It is true that rulers could not harm the church, but the believers escaped from the autocratic church by leaving the church behind.They lead a secular life in Europe & America. Y do priests flee from USA & Europe to Kerala? It is really wonderful that clerics have concern over the believers & try hard to send them to heaven! But they are not at all interested in going to heaven!! What a generosity!!!
ReplyDeleteY are u in disguise? U are living in 14th century. Now it is 21st century. U the clerics, at least in Kerala, should be aware of that and beware of the fall. Otherwise u will have to search for another job very soon.
Church will continue to be an evil force because there are numerous idiots like this one. And, they have been so deeply brainwashed and will never see the light of truth. What Christ stood for is beyond their comprehension. For them, Christ is insignificant; more important is Church that goes on an "exploitation spree" in the name of Christ.
DeleteMr. JA, do you know people like you never moved their little finger when John Thattunkal was doing all those crazy, unholy and immoral things in the capacity of a bishop. It was the priests (who teach you the value of obedience) who revolted against their boss, the former bishop (now according to report, a shopping complex manager).
